Last week I was talking about how great is to find useful information on the web, specifically about how to get the juice out of Google’s tools for your business, so here you have the Top 5 steps to follow with Google Products, don't get me wrong, I´m NOT saying these are the top 5 products, but the basic steps to follow just to get noticed by your average customer.
Hopefully, these will be the first steps to guide you through the business digital era often and wrongly referred as the “new era”, but let me tell you, it’s nothing near to new, it’s just running too fast for some, and the further it gets the harder will be to catch up, if you don't believe me let’s take one big company for an instance: The movie rental monster Blockbuster which was left behind by the “new era” and when they realized how far it was, guess what? it was too late!, and it was sad to see how they were selling movies for less than a dollar in the parking lots outside the stores. I know what you’re thinking and NO, Netflix is not the one to blame for their failure, movie streaming came long before Netflix, they just took the existing model, the technology and made it legal, affordable and easy to use, with no “plugins” to download and complicated procedures, just as it happened with music before!

Nowadays when we need something or someone recommend us a local business the first thing we do is to “Google It” just to get directions on Google Maps or know what’s their phone number, address or what other people think of it Google My Business is a powerful and effective tool to set up your business profile for Google searches and to display your location on the map. Be careful with what you offer and how you do it, you only have few seconds and the blink of an eye to get your potential customer hooked. Short but accurate descriptions are the best.
Congratulations, you are on the map! now let’s get you back to work, and the only way to do that is to have sales, don’t you worry Google and I will help you with that too. The natural thing to do now is to set up your Google AdWords account, here you will be able to run campaigns at the fairest deal you can ever find, you only pay for the times people see you and click on your Ads, so you can set up your budget for day or month and never have another printed flyer on the garbage. Follow up
Now that you have your website running, your contact forms all set up and people are able to find you whenever they are even NOT looking for you, the next thing is to follow up on two things
1) Your customers (this you should be able to do with step No. two)
2) Your website. Remember that we are setting up or renewing your business to get more online action and your front face is your website, what you want to know to follow up is. Is my site fast enough? How are people responding to my site? Are they doing what I expect during their time on my site? Are they finding what they’re looking for? How am I getting new visitors? and Who are they?

Complete the circle
Your digital transformation is close to be finished, but there is always a final sprint where you have to give it all for the glory, and in modern economy there is no glory without BIG DATA… Big what...? In simple words, big data is the compilation interpretation and organization of all the web content and user information (yes they all know your profiles, searches, likes and dislikes) to bring to your screen specific content you may like, so you better use it to deliver your content to the screens of the world.
One of the best ways to do it is through app development this last step is not for everyone, you have to be careful with what you try to use other peoples device gigabytes for, and that there are a million apps out there that probably do the same as yours, so you have to be great at it!
